Children Slip and Fall Injury
Most people have fallen after unexpectedly slipping. They may have been walking on ice in the winter, walking at a fast pace near a swimming pool, or running through a puddle when they lost their footing by slipping, causing them to fall.
Young kids are especially prone to slipping and falling. They have so much energy that they always are running around, unaware of danger. As a result, they need constant supervision.
No one wants to see a child get injured by slipping and falling because of a lack of supervision, but that is what happens sometimes. Parents may leave their children for swimming lessons under the care of the instructor, who has the responsibility of the children’s safety. Or, they may leave them for skiing lessons with the belief that the instructor will supervise them. If the instructor does not adequately supervise the child, though, and the child slips and falls, the instructor may be at fault.
Moreover, the negligence of others may lead to a child slipping and falling in different circumstances as well. For example, a parent may take his child to a store. The parent and child may walk across an unmarked wet spot that has just been cleaned. But because there is no sign saying that the floor has just been cleaned and is wet, the child may slip.
