by Administrator 27. June 2008 11:06
Several patients were injured, one seriously, after a car plowed through a wall into the waiting room of a Marion, Illinois doctor's office. One woman, who was struck by the car, was transported to the hospital, while others were treated at the scene for minor injuries caused by flying glass, brick, and other debris. Fuller told police she was unfamiliar with the car, which belonged to her mother, and had mistakenly hit the gas pedal instead of the brake. Personal Injury Claim against ExxonMobil Goes to Trial

by Administrator 20. June 2008 11:06
A personal injury lawsuit filed by an ExxonMobil contract worker claims that the oil-industry giant was negligent in using an improvised machine to process excess polyetheline pellets. According to Vickie Hall's complaint, which is now going through trial, an unguarded rotary blade sliced off part of three fingers when her glove became caught in the hastily assembled contraption. A hand guard was installed on the rotary blade soon after Hall's injury. ExxonMobil, however, claims that Hall was a trained professional who should have known better than to stick her hand near a rotary blade. According to statements made during the trial, Hall was warned to keep away from the blade, and was involved in a dispute with her manager when her hand became caught. Hall is seeking damages for past and future lost wages, mental anguish, and medical expenses. If you have been hurt because of the negligence of another person or company, call a personal injury lawyer in Chicago at 312-466-8200 today.
