Well Known Economist Files Personal Injury Suit

by Administrator 22. August 2008 16:08
Jacque Polack, a 94 year old macroeconomist of international renown, has filed a personal injury lawsuit against the International Monetary Fund. Polack himself helped found this organization in 1947, and was in fact attending a conference named after him when he sustained his injuries. Polack claims that he fell on a staircase that did not have adequate guard rails, causing him to hit his head. He has been suffering from memory loss and impaired balance ever since; although he was working four days a week and playing tennis before the injury, he is now using a walker and is not working. He is seeking $6 million in compensation. If you have been injured by a negligent property owner, contact Chicago personal injury lawyers Friedman & Bonebrake at (312) 466-8200.

Indiana Former Inmate Files Tort

by Administrator 21. August 2008 16:08
Jeffrey Barden, a 41 year old resident of Indianapolis, has filed a personal injury claim againstĀ  Morgan County Commissioners for injuries sustained during his twenty days in jail. Barden was arrested in October for allegedly resisting arrest for operating a stolen car while intoxicated although his driver's license had previously been permanently suspended. After pleading guilty to being a habitual traffic violator and committing auto theft, Barden was transfered to a county jail for 20 days while he awaited transportation to the corrections department. During that time, he claims, he was held in a two-man cell with two other men, made to sleep on the cement floor, and suffered difficulty urinating due to being in such close quarters with other men. He is seeking $750,000 in damages for his back pain and the difficulty urinating that he says has persisted. If you have been injured by unjust legal practices, contact Chicago personal injury tort attorneys Friedman & Bonebrake at (312) 466-8200.

It was over an hour before firefighters were able to rescue the men and take them to a nearby hospital, where they are reportedly in stable condition. No injuries were reported, and investigators are looking into the cause of the collapse. BMW Recalls 200,000 Cars

by Administrator 15. August 2008 10:08
BMW announced August 13 that it is recalling 200,000 of its cars from the 2006 3 Series, 2004-06 5 Series and 2004-06 X3 SUVs. The problem is with the sensors that should detect whether there is a person sitting in the passenger seat. In some defective cars the sensors may not detect a passenger, which would cause the airbag not to deploy in a collision. BMW reports that no one has been injured yet, and that warning lights blink to alert passengers when the sensors are not working properly. If you have been injured by a defective airbag, contact Chicago personal injury lawyers Friedman & Bonebrake at 312-466-8200.
