Man Accused of Stalking Former Wife

by Administrator 26. September 2008 13:09
A Pennsylvania man has been accused of stalking his ex-wife. Police say he followed his ex-wife for weeks and attacked her as she was getting out of her car in a darkened parking lot. As the woman was pulling into a darkened parking lot of a welding company, the man jumped into the car, grabbed her by the head and neck and pulled out a .38 caliber gun. The gun was, apparently, loaded. Prior to the incident, the man had been calling his former wife all day. He had been threatening o kill himself. The police also interviewed a co-worker who said he had spotted the man hanging around the place of employment for the past three weeks. The man was charged with stalking, simple assault, and two counts of disorderly conduct. If you have been the victm of stalking, contact the Chicago personal injury lawyers of Friedman & Bonebrake at 312-466-8200 to discuss your case and to determine your legal options.

Man Bites Woman, Dog Bites Man

by Administrator 24. September 2008 09:09
Recently, a man and woman were arguing in a parking lot. A witness to the argument pulled the two apart. Shortly afterwards they returned to their argument. This is when the man grabbed the woman and bit off part of her ear. Prior to this incident, the police had been called and responded to what they thought was a rape claim. When they arrived on the scene, they found the woman on the ground covered in blood from here. After the man bit the woman's ear, he apparently took off. While he could outrun the police, he could not outrun the K9 unit. The dog caught up to the man and bit him on his foot. He was later treated for the injury at a local hospital and charged with maiming without malice and assault inflicting serious bodily injury. If you have been injured by another in an argument or have been a victim of a dog bite, contact the Chicago personal injury lawyers of Friedman & Bonebrake at 312-466-8200 to discuss your case and to determine your legal options.

Parents Unaware of Newborn Brain Damage Risk

by Administrator 22. September 2008 18:09
A study recently released by the Center for Disease Control in Atlanta reveals that many parents are uninformed about the potential link between newborn jaundice and brain injuries. When they are born, many infants' livers have not fully developed, resulting in a condition known as jaundice. Because this condition is not rare among newborns and usually does not have long-term consequences, many parents are assured not to worry unless symptoms persist or become worse. According to the survey, over 70% of respondents had never heard of kernicterus, a condition caused by elevated levels of a chemical known as bilirubin. Because these levels are usually regulated by the liver, kernicterus can be a secondary condition resulting from jaundice. If you or a loved one has suffered injuries due to a health worker's negligence, you be eligible for compensation. Young Star Opens Up About Accident

by Administrator 16. September 2008 18:09
22 year old Transformers 2 star Shia LeBeouf described his July car accident on the show "Entertainment Tonight" on Monday. This is the first time he has publically mentioned the accident since it occured. In the interview, he described that night as "eye-opening and terrifying." LeBeouf was driving with a passenger, fellow celebrity Isabel Lucas, when a speeding car (allegedly going 70 mph) ran a red light and struck theirs. Lebeouf was treated at Cedars-Sinai for injuries to his head, knee, and left hand, which was still bandaged during his Monday interview. Lucas and the driver of the other car did not sustain serious injuries. If you have been injured by a negligent driver, remember that you have legal rights. Child Injured at Ski Resort

by Administrator 8. September 2008 18:09
Around 9:30 am on Monday, firefighters were called to Norge ski club in Fox River Grove, Illinois. A child had reportedly been injured on the ski jump. The child was later flown to Advocate Lutheran General Hospital in nearby Park Ridge. The child is reportedly suffering from a head injury. No other information, including the child's name, age, or diagnosis has been released. The injury was apparently caused by an accident. Head injuries can cause lasting and very serious damage. If you or a loved one has received a head injury due to another party's reckless or negligent behavior, you may have grounds for a personal injury suit. Winning this suit would allow you to receive compensation for your medical bills and lost wages, and more importantly, justice will be done.
