South Baton Rouge Man Victim of Vandalism

by Administrator 28. October 2008 12:10
A South Baton Rouge (Louisiana) feels that his politcal yard signs have been the reason behind the recent vandalism of his home.  The man has a number of political signs endorsing candidates in his front yard. He is friendly with all of his neighbors and tries to get along with everyone, regardless of their political beliefs. In addition to supplying yard signs for his own yard, he collects them for his neighbors as well. Last Saturday, the man was reading in bed when he heard what sounded like gunshots. Thankfully, there were no guns involved. The next moning, he discovered a large piece of concrete and two holes in his front windows. If your home has been the victim of vandalism, contact the Chicago vandalism lawyers of Friedman & Bonebrake at 312-466-8200 to discuss your case and to determine your legal options.

First New York Snowmobile Accident of the Year

by Administrator 28. October 2008 11:10
The first snowmobile in New York state has occurred and it's only October. The first accident occurred and not a single snowflake had even touched the ground. The accident occurred when a 23 year old man was testdriving his friend's snowmobile in his friend's backyard. The testride was going well until the testdriver hit the breaks. At this point the snowmobile skidded and slid into a tree. The testdriver wasn't wearing a helmet. When the snowmobile hit the tree, the rider was thrown from the snowmobile. When he hit the ground, he apparently broke his left leg. He was also bleeding from his ear. Police called for a helicopter to air lift the man to the hospital but he chose to go by ambulance instead. If you have been injured in a snowmobile accident, contact the Chicago snowmobile accident lawyers of Friedman & Bonebrake at 312-466-8200 today.

14-Year-Old a Hate Crime Victim

by Administrator 20. October 2008 12:10
A 14-year-old boy who suffers from Cerebral Palsy has been the victim of hate crimes twice in the past three months.  The boy was originally held down and beaten in August. Following that attack, he was scared to leave the house for a month and a half. When he eventually ventured out of the house after the initial attack, he was beaten and abused again in a park. The boy is unable to feed or bathe himself. He was attacked by a group of 5 teenage boys in a park in Havana, Illinois. The boy's mother does not understand how anyone can attack a boy that cannot manage his own life. If you have been the victim of a hate crime, contact the Chicago personal injury lawyers of Friedman & Bonebrake at 312-466-8200 today.

Chicago City Council Expected to Ban Driving and Texting

by Administrator 6. October 2008 13:10
Since the world was concerned that windshield wipers would distract drivers and cause accidents with their hypnotizing effect, drivers have been given a few hundred new distractions. The latest, and most dangerous, is texting while driving. Last year in New York, 5 teenagers were kiled when a driver was texting and driving at the same time. The Chicago city council plans to take aim at the issue and ban texting while driving. This is seen as something to do to combat the epidemic of driving and texting.  Law enforcement personnel and operators of emergency vehicles would be exempt from the law. All other drivers will be prohibited from texting and surfing in their car except when the car is in a "stationary, parked position, and not in gear." Violators would face a fine of $75 for each offense and $200 if the texting involves a crash. If you have been hurt by a driver incapable of watching the road due to texting or surfing the internet while driving, contact the Chicago car accident lawyers of Friedman & Bonebrake at 312-466-8200 today.
