This morning, Mattel and Fischer Price issued a recall of their plastic children's wagon and building blocks set. The voluntary recall includes about 208,000 products imported from Mexico and sold in the United States.
The Little People Builders' Load 'n Go wagon and blocks was sold in retail stores nationwide between June 2009 and July 2011. According to a report from the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission, the wagon's yellow plastic handle poses a laceration hazard to children.
7 families have reported children being injured by falling on the wagon's handle. 5 of these children had to have treatment involving stiches or surgical glue after cutting themselves on the wagon's handle.
