Earlier this month, an 82-year old woman struck 2 pedstrians as she was driving the wrong-way down North Michigan Avenue in Chicago.  The wrong-way driver was traveling southbound in the northbound lanes of Michigan Ave. at around 5 p.m. on Friday, July 1.

The woman struck a 31-year old pedestrian and a 35-year old pedestrian as they were crossing the street.  Both victims were taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital after the accident.

After striking the two pedestrians, the woman's vehicle struck another vehicle, which was pushed into a third vehicle.  The 82-year old was cited with 6 traffic violations including negligent driving.  Investigators are still unsure of how the woman came to be traveling the wrong-way down Michigan Ave.
