This weekend, 4 people were injured in a car accident involving multiple vehicles on the Edens Expressway.  The accident was caused by a driver who had carjacked a minivan from a mother at a shopping center in Northbrook.

The carjacker drove the stolen vehicle down the southbound lanes of the highway and collided with four vehicles around the Peterson Avenue exit.  Police reports indicate that the accident occurred on Saturday afternoon at around 4 p.m.

3 of the people injured in the accident suffered serious injuries.  A fourth person injured in the car accident was listed as being in critical condition at Advocate Lutheran General Hospital.
