Chicago Bears player involved in rear-end accident

Earl Bennett, wide receiver for the Chicago Bears, was involved in a rear-end car accident on Monday morning.  According to Illinois State Police, the football player was on the Ohio Street feeder ramp off of Interstate 90 when a man driving a 1998 Pontiac Sunfire failed to slow and rear-ended Bennett's 1973 Chevrolet Impala.  After colliding, both cars continued into a wall.  The accident occurred at 12:11 A.M..

Investigations have determined that alcohol was not a factor in the accident.  Sources say the player suffered minor whiplash but he recently tweeted that he was simply thankful to be alive.  He was able to make it to practice and workout the next day.
