Chicago Hospital Agrees to $7.8 Million Negligence Settlement

by Administrator 12. June 2008 12:06
Swedish Covenant Hospital agreed this week to pay a $7.8 million settlement to an elderly woman whose meningitis went repeatedly undetected by emergency room staff. Rosemary Mittenthal, a former nurse, went to Swedish Covenant twice, complaining of severe joint pain, neck stiffness, and headaches, but was sent home by emergency room staff, who assured her it was not a serious problem. She now suffers from both mental and physical disabilities caused by the delayed diagnosis and treatment. If you have been hurt by the negligence of hospital staff, contact Chicago personal injury lawyers Friedman & Bonebrake, P.C. today at 312-466-8200.
