An employee of the city of Chicago recently lost control of the work truck they were driving and struck 8 pedestrians.  The accident occurred on a Saturday afternoon earlier this month and most of the pedestrians were taking part in a wedding photo shoot in Gold Coast.

The injured pedestrians included a 2-year old, 2 adults listed as critically injured, and 5 others with unspecified injuries.  The 2-year old suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was treated at Children's Memorial Hospital.

According to police reports, the accident happened at 6 E. Cedar Street at around 12:20 P.M when the driver of a Department of Streets and Sanitation Ford F-150 pickup truck was traveling north on State Street and lost control at the three-way intersection of State, Cedar, and Rush.
