Lorenzo Jesus Tobar, age 36, of Hempstead, NY, has been charged with murder after intentionally hitting another man with his car around midnight on July 21. The other man, Ludwin Marcia, age 34, had reportedly been dating Tobar's ex-girlfriend Ana Chavez. Chavez and Tobar have an eleven year old son together. Tobar has been charged with second degree murder, vehicular manslaughter and driving while intoxicated. Marcia was pronounced dead minutes after arriving at the hospital.
