On October 15th, a medical helicopter bound for Children's Memorial Hospital crashed into the support wires of a radio tower. The crash killed the pilot, the 14 month old patient, the nurse and the paramedic that were in the helicopter.
The investigation into the accident has revealed that the helicopter was equipped with a navigational system, but it had no software. While visibility was high, this may have had a lot to do with the crash.
