A consumer watchdog group in the United States is urging millions of parents to inspect the safety features of their children's cribs after 1.6 million cribs were recalled by a US-based company.
The cribs were recalled when it was noticed by the company that there were problems with the crib's side drop function. These problems led to the deaths of two babies.
The cribs that were recalled were manufactured in Indonesia, China, and Taiwan. Monday's recall was for Delta cribs produced between 1995 and 2007 with a drop side trigger lock design. The recall was one of the largest in US history.
