The mother of a teenage girl that was killed in a tragic drunk driving accident in Chicago in January is suing the driver that caused the accident. The wrongful death lawsuit seeks more than $1 million in damages on behalf of 17-year old Bahra Echmail's mother and sister.
The accident occurred on January 22nd when Echmail was riding in a vehicle driven by 20-year old Francisco Campos. According to Chicago police, Campos sped past a stop sign on North Artesian Avenue without stopping and collided with a vehicle traveling westbound on West North Shore Avenue. Bahra Echmail was injured in the accident and later passed away from her injuries.
Campos is also facing pending charges of aggravated driving under the influence resulting in an accidental death.
