This Saturday, a Chicago man was killed in a tragic pedestrian accident involing a Metra train.  The 44-year old victim was reported to have been struck by a train on the inbound Milwaukee District-West line headed for Chicago.

The accident occurred in Wood Dale, east of Ash Avenue.  Reports indicate that the man was on the train tracks and was unable to get off before the train came and the train's engineer was unable to come to a stop.

Another pedestrian accident involving a train occurred earlier in the day.  A 60-year old man was said to have been struck by a commuter train and later died from his injuries.

Our thoughts and prayers are with the victims' families and friends.
