Salmonella Outbreak in Peanut Butter Products

Peanut Corp has recalled all of its peanut butter and peanut paste products that have been produced in Blakely, GA since July. This is connected with a recent outbreak of salmonella in 43 states.

So far there have been over 470 reported cases related to the salmonella outbreak. Of these, at least 90 involved hospitalization. The cause of this outbreak is not yet known, but it is under investigation and all affected products have been recalled.
