FAQs, Chicago Dog Bite Lawyer

Who is responsible for dog bites?

When a dog bites a person, the blame will either fall on the victim or the dog’s owner. The victim is legally responsible if he or she was threatening, hurting, or otherwise deliberately provoking the dog before the attack. In all other cases the dog’s owner is responsible, even if the owner was unaware of any aggressive tendencies in their pet.
